Sarim Gillani

Sarim leads technology and partnerships at Canopy: this platform, the tree codes, and the living map are his remit.

He read an MPhil in Digital Humanities at Girton College, Cambridge.

With his co-founders he took Canopy to the top of the Cambridge Climate Challenge 2026, and into Cambridge Enterprise's Social Pathfinder.

Until real steward profiles arrive from the field, he also serves, entirely unofficially, as the sample tree's honorary steward.
