Hanniya leads climate research and strategy at Canopy: which projects are verified, and how their impact is measured and reported honestly.

She read a Masters in Architecture at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge.

With her co-founders she took Canopy to the top of the Cambridge Climate Challenge 2026, and into Cambridge Enterprise's Social Pathfinder.
